Summer

Summers in Chamonix are for walking in the forests and mountains, for mountain-biking, rafting, paragliding, rock-climbing and mountaineering. Or for simply relaxing in the sun and the clean, clear mountain air: and watching others sweat! And for relaxing on the balcony of your accommodation.

Summers in the valley are warm and sunny. Shorts and t-shirt are the normal wear. Remember to bring good sunglasses, suncream and perhaps a hat. In the mountains it can be cool and a fleece and waterproofs are essential for walkers.
